Unión Europea: ofensiva contra Bitcoin tras los ataques de París
Según un documento al que tuvo acceso Reuters, los países de la Unión Europea (UE) planean una ofensiva contra las monedas digitales y los sistemas de pagos anónimos, tanto online como por medio de tarjetas prepagadas, en un intento por hacer frente a la financiación del terrorismo tras los atentados de París. Los ministros de interior y justicia de la UE se reunieron el viernes pasado en Bruselas con el objetivo de reclamar que la Comisión Europea, el brazo ejecutivo de la UE, tome las medidas necesarias para “fortalecer los controles de los medios de pago no bancarios tales como los sistemas de pagos electrónicos/anónimos, las monedas virtuales y las tarjetas prepagadas”.
